Move over Kate Middleton, there's a new royal bride in town. Hajah Hafizah Suruul Bolikah, the 32 year old daughter of the obscenely rich monarch of the oil rich Brunei got married yesterday to a 29 year old Muhammad Ruzaini- a civil servant.
The Sultan is famed for over the top luxurious lifestyle and he certainly is sparing no cost in getting his daughter married. The wedding started Friday at the Brunei palace and is expected to go on for another week at least. Cost? An estimated $20million. The groom's robe cost $10,000 each. The gold threaded dresses of Princess Hafizah are $20,000 per piece and she's expected to change at least three times a day throughout the week long carnival. That exludes the gold plated limousine presented to the couple by the Sultan or catering for the expected 2,000 guests, some of whom the Sultan will be ferrying in from all across the world in private jets.
